Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions before you book your first lesson? Here’s what Sydney learners ask us most.

No. You do not need to record any more hours, but extra practice will help you pass next time.

You can get a replacement from a Service NSW centre for a fee, but you lose your previous driving record. That is why many learners choose the digital option.

Both are accepted. The Roundtrip app is easy to carry, hard to lose and calculates bonus hours, while the paper log book needs signatures and careful storage. Choose the one you will use consistently.

Yes. Bonus hours from a night lesson count towards your daytime driving only, so you must log at least 20 hours of night driving with your supervisor.

You can take as many lessons as you like. However, only a maximum of 10 hours with a driving instructor can earn bonus hours.
